A warm welcome to our new wine selection. An advantage of being owned by Daniel Thwaites plc, the independent family controlled brewer, is that they also own James Pickup & Co Wine and Spirit Merchants. Established in 1790 and purveyors of fine wines ever since, they are our exclusive wine supplier.
The wonderful thing about having our own wine merchants is that the list has no bounds, and when we find a fantastic wine to share we can easily access it. Similarly, as we deal direct with the grower in many instances, we’re able to offer top quality wines at a competitive price.
We have again travelled many miles and attended many tastings, and hope you will agree that we have found a fascinating selection of exciting wines from all corners of the vine-growing world, as well as retaining some familiar ‘old favourites’. Continual new developments make it a challenge (all be it a fascinating one) to find a range of well balanced and interesting wines to suit all palates and budgets. So, whatever the occasion you should find something to suit.
