How will I develop?

  We'll agree a 12 month programme with you and then it's over to you to progress at a speed that you're comfortable with. Each time you start a new role in the hotel, you'll have time with the General Manager who will review your progress to date and then agree objectives for your next departmental role.
  
  In addition, there's our Regional General Manager - that's Gordon Jackson - who keeps track on all the graduates and conducts regular feedback and performance reviews with you.
  
  There's a lot of on the job training - developing your people and communication skills, as well some off job learning in specialised areas such as the Shire Hotel Academy of Food and Drink.
  
  And if you're wondering about our track record - just about all of our current General Manager's and Deputy's have progressed through the ranks with us and now run million pound businesses with the help of their teams.
